Creating a title sequence for my show reel.

Today, using after effects, I decided to 'animate' a intro of my name and specialities for my show reel and website.  I chose this font ( trajan pro) as it is clear to read, the use of  serif adds slight delicacy, connoting my care for detail.  It also signifies creativity, but with its spacious lettering that is thin and tall, and almost bold, it gives off a professional look. I choose to have white a background as white has symbolism of fresh, pure, innocent and clean. I want to give off positive, trusting and professional vibes. If I had more time I would done a 2D animation name intro, but a simply ran out of time management. Perhaps I can add a logo In the background to give some colour to make it more creative and interesting.

Looking into using WIX as an possible website

possible designs; template one This one is supposedly good for film students,  in which would be good to show off my animation work possibly? I like the colour pallet as it seems calm, well edited and friendly. However I feel with animation perhaps I need something for my dynamic and exciting and lively.. something that expresses energy, passion and movement; however I want something that expresses my personality and style of work. What I really like about this template is that it instantly has many portfolio work to show, and at the bottom it has clear paths. Its also like an positive instruction "Lets Collaborate", "stay updated" which in-away is friendly yet also pushes you to do so.

Personal branding lesson 3

use of colour; colours have different  symbolism to different cultures. Use of words Brand; Product identity - image to the world Name Product { icons, package, colour palet, logo; slogan- the line- mission statement: history, store, audience} Case study; Waitrose- upper class/ more expensive - gets away with it through design. ‘Essentials’ - Waitrose, trying to make their cheaper products sounds more expensive. Black labels Green- fresh, clean. A good design will make something seem more expensive compared to something thats ‘badly designed’ or more cluttered indesign make it look cheaper. Brands try to be distinctive, different and modern. Hence fashion trends in design being recycled. Old fashioned is becoming the modern. Something that looks expensive (using black labels, white, cursive font ) will make the product look more expensive. Colour pallets; Red- warning, passion, aggression, rage, blood, warm. Blue- calm, Water, steady, cold. Space- less...
